About

I design and help evolve environments that combine systems, companies and teams. An idea grows while it is being built and while it has to be kept running; a company can rarely stop to rewrite — it has to evolve what is already in production. Twenty-seven years in engineering, the last five in architecture, across regulated financial services, national-scale telecom billing and high-volume customer-facing platforms.

My approach is incremental modernization: find the coupling that makes a rewrite look inevitable, remove it, and let business priority set the order of the migration. It is not a technical exercise — it requires engineering and the business to decide together, because the business sets the order and engineering pays the cost.

Much of my current work is in AI-assisted engineering, where the interesting problem is not individual productivity — it is reproducibility. A workflow that worked once, for one engineer, is not a practice. This series comes from there as well: what happens to systems design when the consumer is an agent and not a person.
